Overgate Hospice provides expert care, support, advice and information for patients who have a terminal illness or a long term condition that cannot be cured –Â also known as life-limiting –Â and their families, carers and loved ones.
Living with a life-limiting illness can affect a person in many ways. After being referred to us we will work in partnership with the patient to provide the care and support depending on their individual needs. All of our medical and nursing care is provided by a highly qualified and skilled team who will work with the patient to ensure they receive a high standard of care.
Our team of doctors and nurses can help relieve a person’s symptoms, including pain management and fatigue, along with our Patient and Family Support Team who can help with adjusting to day-to-day life living with an illness. We also offer Bereavement Support, Carer’s Group and Community Hubs.
All our services are free of charge and are available to people living in the Calderdale area who are over 18 years old.
We know we cannot add days to life but we can add life to the days of our patients, making the most of the time they have left.
